I absolutely loved meeting Chelsea + Joshua last year for their engagement session and now celebrating in their marriage. There weren’t many dry eyes during their ceremony. They both decided to do a first look session but even though Joshua had seen Chelsea before walking down the aisle, there were still tears! They both share energetic personalities and watching them interact together is quite entertaining. ….and oh the dance moves!!!
To see all of their amazing wedding photos go to their GALLERY.
From the Bride: Josh and I met at North Greenville University in August 2012 as transfer students. We became fast friends within the theatre dept and our friendship grew into a dating relationship the next fall in 2013. We dated for a year and in Dec of 2014, Josh popped the question in downtown Greenville, SC and took me by complete surprise with a secret camera crew, fancy hotel ballroom, a beautiful ring, and an engagement party waiting for us downstairs! It was a dream proposal! And now here we are!
Vendors
Caterer: Mutts BBQ
Rentals: (uplights only) Upstate Event Services

DIY projects: votive candle holders, table centerpieces, framed pictures, card box.

Inspiration for the day (Bride): I ALWAYS loved bold, jewel tone color combinations–specifically cobalt blue and royal purple. I also very much love the irridescent peacock feather since as long as I can remember. I decided to combine the two colors with gold accents and peacock feathers on as much as I could. I wanted color to be everywhere for as much as I could afford, lol. Purple/blue uplights, gold pearls on cupcakes, purple table runners, gold picture frames, blue/purple ostrich feathers with gold sparkly branches. Purple and blue ribbon on candle holders, blue bridesmaids’ dresses with gold shoes and gold earrings, etc

Also, I wanted something different for the Josh and the groomsmen from the traditional white shirt and colored tie and/or vest. Instead I went with a blue shirt to match the bridesmaids’ dresses, and the men’s boutonnieres were a single peacock feather wrapped in gold ribbon that matched the girls’s ribbon around their roses. The guy’s then had ivory ties that matched my dress and the white roses in my bouquet and the girls’ single roses they carried. Peacock feathers on my shoes as well as in my hairpiece.

With Josh and I being theatre graduates, we wanted to create our ceremony program as if our “audience” were witnessing a live theatre production (i.e. scene 1,2, “cast” director, producer, etc)

We love Disney! Guest book was from UP the movie, had disney wedding prelude music before ceremony, customized disney couple framed picture purchased from Etsy

During ceremony–God’s Knot–As Christians, Josh and I wanted something tangible that we could see everyday in our home that reminded us of our vow and commitment to each other with Christ at the center…..we braided the cord of three strands to music during the ceremony and took it home to put in a shadow box to frame on our apartment wall

My dad’s chair—dad passed away in 2009 and I still wanted to honor him by decorating the chair he would’ve sat in with some of memorabilia of him….I also asked my god father (my dad’s youngest brother who looks and sounds just like him) to dance with me during the father/daughter dance while I had a slideshow of pictures of my dad and I playing in the background on a big screen…..Ohhhhh the waterworks smile emoticon …but I loved every moment of it!
