Sedona, Arizona | Travel

Every year I am lucky enough to visit Sedona, Arizona in December. This year I was EXTRA lucky because it was soooo warm! Normally at this elevation there is snow but 75 degrees and sunny is okay too! 🙂  My parents joined me this trip. Josh has yet to come as it is always near finals for him. If you find yourself looking for a place to stay when you visit I highly recommend Southwest Inn. There is a kiva fireplace in every room and an outside heated pool most of the year and large hot tub. Breakfast is boutiful as well located in a cozy but rather large upstairs lounge. Views of the red rocks can be seen all around. They made this great breakfast burrito that I look forward to every year!

The best views of Sedona are above the city. Follow the signs to the airport and you’ll find this awesome view!

Two fun panoramics!

This year we decided to do a sunrise balloon flight. It was just mom & I in the basket with the pilot so we really felt like VIP!

Off we went! Dad was below taking our mid-air shot! Ahhhhh…. sunrise!

We passed over McCain’s home!

I love the southwest scenes!

I like this shot looking into the balloon being fired up!

The only animals we saw were these true Texas Longhorns.

Breakfast was YUM! Crispy apple fritters, strawberries with cream, and ice cold OJ. This is going to sound gross… but the strawberry cream was 1/2 marshmellow cream and 1/2 cream cheese. To die for delicious! I told my mom the balloon ride was worth that recipe alone. ha ha.

I love the fact that the pilot signed his name on my certificate in the shape of his balloon. I’m thinking about replacing one of my certificates on the wall at work with this one. I wonder if anyone would notice?
