It seems I have been blogging a lot lately about Clara J’s Tea Room…but when the weather is in the single digits you have to pick enjoyable inside activities. 🙂
Today was special. Ashley was home on leave to share a tea party with her 2 year old cutie, Ameila.
I met Ashley and Ameila for the first time after she contacted me through Operation: Love Reunited. I am always happy to offer a free session for deployed military. Along with the session, I will also design and ship an album overseas to make their time apart a little easier. I’m not one of the studio “posing” photographers, so I almost always try to link an activity with a session that includes small children. They are happier to move around and not have to sit in one spot, tilt their head a certain way, and hold a smile… and I am over joyed by just capturing them and their real personality.
So Clara J’s is known for their large selection of hats you may choose from while having tea. Of course we had to try on a few! I think Ameila is a hat girl. Every one she tried on looked pretty!
Ameila had her own “tea” aka pink lemonade! Can’t forget the TWO cupcakes either with heart sprinkles.
This is my favorite picture. Such a sweet moment between mom and daughter.
It was a lot of fun having a tea party… one lump or two? or three? or four? ha ha ha ha…
