Stephen & Lisa | Apple Orchard

Excited to share with everyone Stephen & Lisa’s session at MacQueen’s Orchard. I posted a sneak peak earlier this week here. I met Lisa initially through Operation: Love Reunited as she was looking for a photographer to capture their love before Stephen deploys in the Fall. Sessions are available at no charge across America for all members of the military who are deploying! Go here and type in your zip code to see if there is a photographer in your area. I posted commonly asked questions about the program here below the session.

Here are a few of my initial picks that I absolutely love!

So just how did this cute couple meet? Love at first sight! Stephen was at a friend’s birthday party and saw Lisa enter the room. He knew right away he had to get to know her.

It’s always fun to try to pick up the sea bag! You’d never realize how heavy these can get even for a short period. The lifting process alone. Now imaging carrying one of these around with you… I’m so happy for my luggage on wheels!

While Stephen is overseas he’ll get a small album of their session together to make the time apart a little easier. Being apart for such an extended period is extremely hard. You learn to appreciate every second you have together.

This cracks me up. I asked Stephen to squat down beside Lisa for a quick shot facing ME, not Lisa… he’s hilarious and quick witted!

Stephen hand makes these bracelets for them to share. Too cool.

Awww…

Isn’t this a cozy spot?

So sweet.

A few more of my favorites!

This next shot captures the reason why I love doing pre-deployment sessions. It’s these last moments shared, that will mean so much to both of them in the coming year. It’s hard being apart even if you do get the chance to talk on the phone, get a letter or e-mail. It’s just not the same as having the other person to hold. Nothing compares to the simple act of a hug at the end of the day to comfort and know you are loved.

Thank you Stephen & Lisa for an awesome session! View the entire session HERE and see why it took me so long to choose my favorites!!!
