BRISBANE SUNFLOWER FAMILY PHOTO SESSIONS | KALBAR, QUEENSLAND | DALLAS LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY
Absolutely LOVED every single second at the Sunflower farm! This year I was an official photographer for the farm’s mini shoots. Normally I do sessions closer to sunset where it’s easier to make beautiful photos… so this was a new challenge to shoot families and friends no matter what time of day or lighting conditions as we were just in the fields! I took three photos over the various times I was out shooting to show the HUGE difference in lighting conditions. The first was the earliest in the morning when colours are the most vibrant but also a lot harder for families with young children because they’d have to look straight into the sun if they were going to have any photos looking into the camera. Next year, I’d definitely recommend to families with small children to book a bit later in the day (about 1p with full sun). Many might shy away from coming to the festival if rain is predicted and if it’s drizzling… but some of the best shots from the festival (especially with young families) are captured in overcast skies! Take a peek at various shoots below from all different lighting conditions. An overcast sky is a photographer’s dream for mini sessions – soft light (like a giant soft box).
