Anastasia + Jorden are both graduate students at Purdue studying Chemistry, but in different emphasis. Needless to say once they do get married in September they are going to have really smart kids! 🙂 This weekend they made the trek from Indiana to Toledo for a Mother’s Day visit and engagement session with me! Ohhh… and a cake tasting right after… yum! I like to cater each engagement session to the individuality of what makes them, ‘them.’ Anastasia said they both enjoy the local parks and even watched a meteor shower together. No meteors were scheduled for tonight so we headed out on our sunny Sunday morning to enjoy my local park… Sidecut.
What a better way to spend an afternoon than a picnic. We toasted to their engagement, which shows off the BLING!

I have shot Sidecut MANY times before but we took a different route than I normally take and I was pleasantly surprised by how many more dramatic backgrounds this park has to offer!

I loved meeting you both! Especially since engagement sessions really help me as a photographer get to know best angles and what makes you smile ‘for real.’ In Anastasia and Jorden’s case they make each other smile.
