Audie + Melanie | Engagement

I met Audie in my first Graphic Communications class at Clemson University. He was very interesting to talk with because of his active role in a student Christian athletics group and the fact that he played Rugby. I think anyone that does that I can admire. I could never. Also, all my friends at Clemson that do mountain biking. I can’t do that either.  College was 6 years ago for me but throughout that time Audie and I have kept in touch and updated each other with our career goals. When Audie knows what he wants he is committed to that goal. We have both kept advancing in our careers but one goal Audie has been pursing since I’ve met him with not much updates… a Godly woman to be his wife.

I was so happy to get the phone call from Audie telling me he was engaged to Melanie! Soon after I called Melanie and heard her thick accent… (hahahaha) I was even happier. I could tell from our first conversation that she was a very caring person. We met for the first time for their engagement session last week. Seeing them both interact with each other and listening to them made me realize… Melanie is the woman Audie was waiting to meet.

Melanie met Audie by “chance” online. There was a thunderstorm in the area and she so happened to go to her parents house. Her internet was out at the time but she went online at their home and was about to cancel her online social service when she saw Audie. She hadn’t seen him online before and decided to just send him a short e-mail. The very next day she had a reply back… and the rest is history.

The first part of our session was at Falls Park in Greenville, So. Carolina. There were so many people at the park with their dogs this day. Melanie really wants a dog. We even got a picture with a foster dog with them during our session. hahahaha. You can find this picture in their gallery.

Audie was a gracious loser! Way to go Melanie!

It was such a hot day in the park we decided to take a break at a local restaurant.

The second part of our session was taken at Furman University.

The rose garden at Furman University.

We were looking for the gazebo and found this Pagoda! So peaceful… If I was a student at Furman I would come study here.

The last few photos from our session. Melanie and Audie will be married in the Gulf Shores of Alabama Memorial weekend. I’ll be there to capture their day! Stay tuned for wedding photos.
