I have wanted to shoot the high level bridge for years! I recently did Gary & Kara’s engagement session here at sunset. The bug had bit me… I needed to come back for some morning light! Bill + Maris are “out of towners” so I knew I wouldn’t have to beg to visit the “East” side. However, it was a very windy day… on a bridge… and the couple had to have an early rise after David & Lauren’s wedding the night prior! Such troopers…. As I look through all of the photos in their GALLERY I can see why they are together. Can’t you? Such natural love… giggles… kisses. Ahhh… Love.
What an epic shot!! Bill said I needed to put a disclosure on photo sessions with me. He said I needed to add about me as a personal trainer because in my sessions we hike, hike, hike or walk, walk, walk… all while shooting. I told him it was an unforeseen bonus… Bridal Boot Camp!! It was early though… and a bit of a hike to get to this perfect spot! Worth it though… so very worth it.
They are too cute for their own good!

I have to say… I really really really like Maris’ ring. Bill had it custom made. They have a cute engagement story… the very day he received the ring back… that evening. Maris was having a trying day and Bill wanted to cheer her up. They are only a block from the beach so Bill suggested an evening walk. Maris just wanted to go to bed and start a new day in the morning. Bill was convincing though (too excited to keep the ring overnight I’m sure) and they set out… Maris in her slippers. Needless to say her day turned around with this bling! Bling! and ENGAGED!
Maris told me her and Lauren both wanted October weddings. She joked they would be like the movie “Bride Wars” if it came down to it to get their October dates. She asked Lauren if she was up for ’10 or ’11. Lauren picked ’10. Both ladies were soon proposed to so their “planning” worked well!!! Lauren was just married this past weekend and Maris will be next October! Can’t wait!
