We had the chance for a country road trip to Goondiwindi for Caitlin + Mitchell’s wedding. Earlier in the week there were predictions of rain…but fortunately all the weather passed by the morning of the wedding. We started our day at the skate park with Mitch and his best man Cody doing BMX bike tricks. Caitlin even made their buttonholes to be bike sprockets. So clever!!! Next, we met Caitlin at her parent’s home for some pre-ceremony photos. I was blown away by her homemade bead bouquets. She carried the theme throughout her day with giant balloons as her ceremony aisle and a room full of balloons at the reception. Everything was exquisitely thought through and was very special for their day. The ceremony took place at the Goondiwindi Customs House, which according to their celebrant Jenny Noble, has quite an interesting story (which I will be looking up this week) as to why a customs house was even needed in the area. After the ceremony we headed to the Botanical Gardens for sunset… which did not disappoint! Almost the entire time a white horse was staring us down…and following us along it’s fence line as we walked. The reception was held at the Goondiwindi Golf Club. LOVED their white room and how the balloons filled up the ceiling space with fairy lights. There was even a cozy wood stove in the corner. Congratulations Caitlin + Mitch! We absolutely loved celebrating with you both!
