When Courtney announced she was having a candy / bubblegum themed wedding I was psyched! When I saw the bubblegum machines on each table as a centerpiece I just knew they were custom made plastic molds!! Who did she know to get such high-end wedding fabrication??? Then I found out they were the hard work of Courtney herself and bridesmaids. Wow. That’s all I have to say. I found out they were painted flower pots, a fish bowl with ornaments, and the ‘drip plate’ that goes with the flower pot. This is definitely the doing of late night Pinterest on Courtney’s part I’m sure!! 🙂
TWO first looks sessions were scheduled for the day…. Jason + Courtney had a private moment to themselves before the wedding at Hidden Lake Gardens. By having a first look we were able to practically take ALL of the wedding portraits BEFORE with the wedding party and family. This is GREAT if you want the most out of your day (wear your dress brides as long as you can!!) and even have the chance if you like to attend your own cocktail hour!! The second first look session was with her Dad!! This was soooooo touching. If you think about it… there is really a first look with your dad at every wedding… but when you put more emphasis on it the photos can come out spectacular!! Instead of meeting in the basement of a chapel with hangers everywhere and bags, we picked a special spot just outside the chapel and had her Dad close his eyes… then in a moment he saw his baby!! TEARS!! This was their moment and soooo verrrrry special. So much so you will see TONS of photos on the blog highlighting it.

The ceremony and reception took place at Adrian College. Adrian College has the beautiful Herrick Chapel on campus at the Adrian Tobias Center for large events.
