I met Jordan a year ago when we did a photography session of her with Ricky & Lucy (pups!) as a gift to Devin, who was deployed over seas. Jordan’s session was free to all deployed military and their family & fiances! An album was even sent overseas to Devin apart of Operation: Love Reunited. This was the first session where Jordan was a Marine too! How fun! Ever since then it’s been wedding talk and I was super excited to be asked to capture their wedding at St. Clair Shores, MI on Ovation Yacht Charters.
The wedding day was the FIRST time I met Devin. OMgoodness! He is adorable around her and Jordan gives the most kind and expressive gestures towards him as well! Being in the Marines when you are not married, albeit deployed too, means separation. Something that is so hard to deal with emotionally but such a strong bond shared between two people. It’s exciting that their wait to FINALLY be together is F-I-N-A-L-L-Y over. Woot! Woot! Besides Jordan, I know two little furry puppies are just as excited!!!
I have to say… for Jordan having a job and being in school…. I APPLAUD her for putting together a wedding with soooo many custom details. So much so I just had to ask Anna of Anna Sawin Photography to fly in for the event and ooogle over all the details and second shoot! She did an amazing job and I was so happy to have her travel all the way from CT for the big day! For the past two years I have second shot for Anna once during wedding season but this was her first trip to the mid-west for my season. Anna & I captured soooooo much this is again a REALLY long blog for everyone’s enjoyment!
