Krystal + Ryan | Noosa Wedding

This was my first Noosa wedding with the fabulous Rhondda Scott. Rhondda was my first photographer friend when I came to Australia. Since, we have gone on countless outings together looking for all things vintage. It has been quite the experience seeing everything Australia has to offer. When Rhondda mentioned she had a wedding coming up in Noosa and asked if I wanted to come along I said YESSSS!!! The wedding was actually on one of the islands but the entire area is beautiful and my hubby and I made a weekend of it.

I was second shooting the preparation, ceremony, and portraits while Rhondda covered the reception solo. I have yet to fully appreciate Australian weddings as reception speeches can last for hours!!!! In America most reception coverage happens in just 3 hours…with speeches no longer than :10-20 minutes in total. I have heard that photographers in Australia mock stage cake cuttings, etc. because of the long receptions. Definitely a timeline I will soon learn as I head to Sydney next month for a wedding of my own.

Wherever you are in life, a “just because” mini session on a whim can be that memory you smile back on again and again.

We’re up at Tamborine Mountain quite a bit these days, which means we get to offer minis in some pretty incredible rainforest spots — the kind of places that just might become your new favourite spots, too.

No milestone required. No special occasion. Just you, your people, and some time together. #mounttamborine
Something about choosing a special place and being in the moment together.
Yesterday was a GOOD one. For the first time I photographed my couple in this paper bark tree lane...normally there are cars parked on either side but we had this cozy spot all to ourselves last night. Tamborine Mountain Glades, you never disappoint. #tamborinemountainwedding
