I met Lydia + Tony on the day of their wedding on what was most likely the wettest for the year in Brisbane. There were flash floods and road closures all over the city…but no matter how much it rained and poured family and friends filled St John’s Cathedral full! After the beautiful ceremony, the wedding party went to the City Botanical Gardens and we found the largest tree we could to serve as a natural umbrella. Lydia says that the gardens make her happy, so since she was keen we were going to keep shooting in the rain! Thankfully my gear is waterproof and I didn’t mind getting soaked. This first image I absolutely love. The tenderness between each other and the softness in their embrace in this photo epitomizes their day together. A perfect day, despite the weather!
