Before the ceremony Mary Kathryn + James wanted to exchange personal letters and read them together – but not actually seeing each other. Only a few feet apart they were able to share a sweet moment and still save their “first look” for her bridal walk down the aisle. Mary Kathryn started her walk outside on the main pavilion stairs and was quite emotional the moments before seeing her groom. James did not have a dry eye when he finally caught a glimpse of his bride! Many tears and laughs were shared together through the ceremony as a former youth pastor retold of their dating relationship. A special ring ceremony was led by the groom’s grandfather as he gifted wedding bands to the couple. The groom’s ring was worn for 62 years in his own marriage with his late wife. The bride’s wedding band was from the groom’s mother, who was married for 35 years. I was happy to take on primary shooting roles and second shoot for my friend Jenny as this was her family wedding and she wanted to enjoy the day herself. You can view more of the wedding at her website at Photography and Design By Jenny.
