Michael, Jill, Zach, Amelia Ft. Meig | Family Portrait

For those that subscribe to the blog you know this family! 🙂 They have appeared almost yearly… while they are visiting family, I almost always get to see them! They have been stationed in Korea and are just back to the US. Last time I saw Amelia she was just sitting up!

For our session Jill did something different, which I loved! She had a separate outfit that was the kid’s favorite for their own portraits!! Zach had his Spiderman PJ’s and Amelia her new bling! bling! from Grandma. Outfits when you’re a kid are sometimes hard wired in your memory forever… having professional shots of “your favs” will be a treasure to them as they get older for sure. I know when I was young I used to wear a ruffled pink dress ALL the time. I still remember it. I think I might have one blurry picture of me in it that was a polaroid taken for a Christmas ornament…. and you guessed it… that’s my favorite ornament!

Wherever you are in life, a “just because” mini session on a whim can be that memory you smile back on again and again.

We’re up at Tamborine Mountain quite a bit these days, which means we get to offer minis in some pretty incredible rainforest spots — the kind of places that just might become your new favourite spots, too.

No milestone required. No special occasion. Just you, your people, and some time together. #mounttamborine
Something about choosing a special place and being in the moment together.
Yesterday was a GOOD one. For the first time I photographed my couple in this paper bark tree lane...normally there are cars parked on either side but we had this cozy spot all to ourselves last night. Tamborine Mountain Glades, you never disappoint. #tamborinemountainwedding
