Oxley Creek Common is a very popular spot if you are a bird watcher or bird photographer….and also very popular with pet owners and joggers around the community. In the late afternoons you’ll see family portrait photographers too. What you might not know though is the late afternoon isn’t the only time you can capture amazing photos here. Morning light can be a photographers worst nightmare… it’s true! So scouting a few spots with good morning light  for when you get early morning requests is important. I can vouch for Oxley Creek Common that it is indeed a great morning spot for family portraits.

Howard Family

I believe this is my third session with the Howard Family. Today we were in for a real treat. Not only did we make some beautiful images but it felt more like a day on the farm and a free petting zoo! We had goats, cows, and sheep all come close to the fence lines and one cheeky goat tried to get through to us! Not to mention many bush turkeys. I even scored a shot of the kids watching one of the cows and the cow perfectly curling his tongue for a leafy snack!
