Meet Steven + Justine! One of my absolute favorite captures ever is this first one you see… When I first started color correcting professionally I was told when processing a black and white image (when I worked for a newspaper) that it was right when it looked like color. Funny thing to say but it’s absolutely true. In comparison… this first image speaks to me so strongly because it’s a still capture but I can feel the motion of it like cinematography. When I look at it I can hear Justine giggling and visually ‘feel’ the warmth of the sun. There’s nothing lost here.
