This year I’m doing more destination weddings than I have since I started my photography business. I thank the Internet and my brides. For some, trusting that a photographer you have never met will just show up the day of your wedding is a stretch. This is the most important day of your life and the extra stress factor of a photographer not showing up is high on the list of potential wedding day catastrophes. I specialize in destination weddings and help the bride in several ways. I will arrive to your destination one day before the wedding and two days before if it’s a holiday weekend. Getting there early not only insures that I will be there for the bride without travel delays but also allows me to do something unique. Normally the day before the wedding I find myself with a rental car, my gear, and time. You bet I’m going to drive around and take pictures! This allows me to capture art prints of the area that the couple can use to enlarge and use for artwork to decorate their home. It also is a great to have when you choose a destination spot that is special to you both. It’s also fun to put together your photos in a coffee table book that means something to you both rather than random picture books you might pick up at a bookstore. I have completely replaced all of my coffee table books with custom printed ones from each of my travels. When guests visit they look through these again and again. Now you have a personal story behind your images so they mean even more. I posted a few images from the day before Emily & TJ’s wedding here.
So thank you Emily and TJ for having me as your destination photographer for your wedding! Here are my favorites from the day in your customized album design.
