I am frequently asked, “What is a Trash the Dress session?” A TTD is the coolest idea ever! As a bride you know the most exciting part about planning your wedding is finding THE dress. So once you’ve found it, loved every second you paraded around on your wedding day in THE dress, you may immediately have it preserved. THIS IS A MISTAKE!!! You are missing out on a marvelous excuse to be a queen for a day (again) and take the fun pictures you may have not had the time to do on your wedding day or were too scared to do at the risk of getting the dress dirty. I recommend setting up a TTD within a month of your wedding day… Look how fun & cute April’s session turned out!
Wedding planner April Gladieux, Your Perfect Day, LLC, and I met for the first time this past weekend for a TTD (Trash the Dress) session during my Shoot Manual Workshop. Of course I had to check out her website before we met… I was super excited to do the session because of her cute head shot on her website. I believe head shots are a must for all wedding vendors and a great selling point for who we are… just seeing her big smile and friendly portrait assured me our session was going to be a blast! I was also really impressed with April’s blog. A must see for any soon-to-be bride. April has lots of great detail ideas and pretty cool inspiration boards. I would love to photograph a wedding that April has planned! She is very detailed oriented, personable, and would add those unique touches to a bride’s day. I also LOVE the fact that she wears these amazing salmon colored heels all while orchestrating such a busy day!
