I love this sweet godly couple! They have both welcomed me in their home and encouraged me numerous times… I was so honored to be their photographer (especially mid-December) at their Florida destination renewal. Both families came – which was extreme fun holidaying! The original plan was a 12/12/12 date at 12n but the weather gave us grief!!! Oh… you Ohioans know… it ALWAYS changes. With a predicted 80% chance of thunderstorms on the 12th… the call was made on the 11th at 1:30pm to have the renewal at 4pm. This meant hair, makeup, organizing a rather large family with transport, etc etc etc and everything had to be pulled together – QUICKLY! What’s a wedding without a little stress? ha ha ha ha. Magically the clouds opened up and poured rain at 4pm… then at 4:30p it was GORGEOUS. All the pops of color and little details Jill and the family put together made everything so much fun! My favorite weddings are those with DIY inspiration and meaningful art. The jewelry was made by the MOB. (GORG!) Jill even included the entire family in a unique sand dollar ceremony on the beach with the releasing of the doves… a poem where your crack open a sand dollar and discover 5 doves. She carefully put together glass corked cylinders so everyone could bottle their doves as a keepsake. The ceremony was very touching and delivered by Jill’s new father in law. It’s great to see such love between two families and care for each other. Other than the up/down complexity of the weather the entire trip has been nothing short of AWESOME!
