This weekend Josh and I headed to Milwaukee, WI for Jamie & Jennifer’s wedding. Jennifer & I hadn’t met before the day of the wedding but we have talked over the phone on/off for the past year as her wedding plans formed. We went to Grant Park in South Milwaukee for these beautiful shots taken on a bridge in the park. Jennifer crafted the ring pillow, which has an island feel. They plan to visit Jamaica in the fall for their honeymoon. Actually, I think that is where Jennifer and I both connected… talking about all the fabulous resort options and clear waters on sparkling white sand. If you ever find yourself stressed go online and check out the four and five star resorts in Jamaica and your worries will melt away.
Jennifer decided to take all of the wedding party portraits before the ceremony. Not many brides opt for this but I can tell you from my own personal experiences as the bride and photographer that this is such a de-stresser! You are not in a rush to get to the reception and can really take the time to enjoy your friends and the wedding day experience.
So I really thought this was the cutest chapel… “The Chapel of Love.” Everything was so white… which really made the lighting reflect around the room for well-lit shots.
A note to all future brides… bird seed hurts! Trying to get the best shots for Jamie & Jennifer, I personally got pelted several times. The guests were overly excited or either the bags were too full of birdseed because it just kept coming. I chose to post this shot (a little far away) so you can see the guests and how happy they look.
