We weren’t able to congratulate Leea + Michael when they booked us for their wedding photography on social media because they had an exciting plan that we shared in. They decided to surprise guests at their engagement party this past Saturday showing up MARRIED. Earlier in the day we met at Newstead Park among only family to watch these two say “I do!” The rotunda overlooked the Brisbane river and we had perfectly blue skies and sunshine. We then spent the afternoon together around the Powerhouse and Wilson’s Outlook before heading to their engagement party (surprise wedding reception). Every guest entered to a sign-in table with a blocked view of the inside. On the table there was a sign that said no social media until 8pm. Most had quite the awkward expression as they read that sign and were a bit confused… then they rounded the corner and saw Leea in a wedding dress and Michael in his suite. Everyone was super SURPRISED and each and every guest’s face showed a dropped jaw, disbelieve, then sheer excitement and hugs all around. This was THE BEST DAY EVER.
