Brides all over the world are having to add an extra check box in their wedding planners, “Pandemic so cancel everything.” On what would have been their wedding date in 2020 Cal + Nic both decided to make it a perfect day anyway and have the big wedding next year.
When I arrived to the cabin I saw the groom getting ready in the bathroom, the bride putting on the final touches to her hair just in the other room, and the wedding dress hanging out in the open for the groom to see!!! I immediately gasped… Callan is allowed to see THE dress??? Nicole smiled and reminded me this was no ordinary day. Callan in fact also helped Nicole curl her hair! Nicole assembled her own flowers and his boutonniere. A lavish grazing hamper was also assembled with her sister…and the ‘to die for’ scones her mum said Nicole makes. So much love was put into the day of just four, which included the couple and her mum and sister.
Nic + Cal hopped inside a pink Kombi van to exchange rings then walked across the boardwalk to their chosen spot to read hand written vows. The setting was beside a reflective lily pond surrounded by gorgeous mountain views. For an overcast day with drizzles of rain the sun just peeked out to make them glow! So many smiles and a champagne toast to soak in the last rays of the day, which did not disappoint to lighting up the sky a terracotta orange. Best wishes for you both this year and we will do it all again next year surrounded by your loved ones!
