Sarah’s day started out at Palmetto Style Salon with a photo of her desired style and hopes for a sunny day.
Sarah’s dress was amazing!

Moments before seeing his bride…
Sarah decided to do something most of my bride’s don’t… a “first look” session. Sarah, feel free to comment to all other brides about your experience. Having had a “first look” myself on my wedding day I can’t praise this enough! It’s such a stress reliever to have a moment alone together before the ceremony. Actually, it may be your only moment alone during the entire day! You both will share a special moment you cannot experience any other way. When you are walking down the aisle you cannot touch, feel, speak your emotions to the extent you can when you are all alone… well, except for your photographers being present. 🙂
Watch the magic….
The wedding and reception took place at the Sharon Rose Farm in Woodruff, So. Carolina.
Sarah’s brother Jonas wrote an excellent blog about the wedding. I especially agree on his fourth point about weddings being convicting. As a wedding photographer I witness about 25 weddings a year. It’s so refreshing when the pastors go through the roles of the husband and wife. I can’t help but to think about how each message applies to my own life. I honestly get something new from every wedding and come home excited again about my marriage and where we are going.
The new Mr. & Mrs…
Sarah chose very unique colors for her wedding… everything blended seamlessly.
Sarah’s sister-in-law made a small gluten free cake that matched the bakery cake perfectly! She just went by the photo and everyone was amazed at how close the two cakes were… you would never know! I personally LOVE sugar so I didn’t get to try her cake. However, the bakery’s cake was amazing! I used to be a cake decorator so I appreciate cake more than most. I could tell they used a very refined flour because the cake melted in your mouth and was silky smooth. The icing was delicious as well! (Sarah, let us all know who you used!!!)
Chris Newman captured some great candids throughout the day. He shot as the second photographer and caught Stephen gazing at Sarah.
You can see the love and kindness towards each other in these shots.
A friend signals to Sarah the direction to thrown the bouquet. Chris captured this great shot of the bouquet mid-air!
Sarah’s brother almost caught a ride to the honeymoon! Shortly thereafter he let Sarah & Steve depart happily married! To view all of the wedding photos visit the gallery.
