The Great Turkey Hunt | Personal

So I woke up this morning at 6am to pre-heat the oven for our turkey… at 10am I woke up naturally to a pre-heated oven. hahaha. I had planned to get back up and put the turkey in but I fell soundly back to sleep.  Our new tradition. Turkey hunting on turkey day! (our backup turkey was now cooking as we went hunting)

Josh said turkeys have really good eyesight so we went and bought matching outfits. I think this is the only time Josh will be twinkies with me.

Me playing around….  I think I look like Big Foot. The bottom right is Josh being a tree. This was more of a workout than I thought it would be. Josh had me wear 6 layers underneath. Walking was difficult.

Turkey calling…. here turkey turkey turkey…

We are on the right track… a turkey feather!

It started to rain at this point.

I found some color in the forest.

Pretty.

No turkies yet!!!

Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Raining. Raining. Raining.

We had fun but had to go home… the rain just would not stop and our stomachs were growling. Good news was our backup turkey was roasting in the oven. At the end of the day Josh said it was like ‘take your kid to work day.’ You don’t get any work done but you still have fun.  🙂  Surprise of the day… I WON the wishbone!!!!
