Our last day in Hawaii was perfect. White sand and clear blue waters. Ahhhh…
All week we stayed on base in a 2 bedroom cabin with a our bungalow upstairs and full view of the ocean each morning. We had beach access just below the cabin and across the street. Talk about convenience! Bottom right, you can see the view we woke up to each morning and watched the sunset from in the evenings. A jeep rental rounded off our bliss!
Our last evening we spent fishing off the pier. I believe this was Nick’s first fishing trip.
Michael caught the big fish aka BLOW fish that we had to throw back. Cute big black eyes.
We even fit in touring Ford Island for a close up view of the Arizona Memorial, the plane tower from WWII, Mighty Mo, and THE END of the rainbow!
It was hard to say goodbye to these sunsets!!!
…but we were greeted by this sunrise in Chicago early this morning.
It was an awesome vacation full of new beaches I hadn’t visited before… hopefully we’ll be back in a little over a year to see Michael’s re-enlistment ceremony. I never thought I would visit Hawaii so much in my lifetime! Actually, I probably wouldn’t without family living on the island! I’m soooo tired now. Overnight flights stink!
