Okay…. so we originally had plans to do engagement portraits on a warm day earlier this month but that day just so happened to be opening day for hunting season. This is extremely important for my assistant aka husband. 🙂 Jerry is a hunter too and Ashley very understanding so we rescheduled for last weekend… a bit colder! Ashley had decided to wear these shoes for our “warm” prior date but they were too cute not to wear with snow on the ground and ice! Eeek. I have to say though… she was managing the snow and ice better than the rest of us.

Our second location was at the Toledo Zoo’s, The Lights Before Christmas. This was a special 1 year anniversary weekend for Jerry + Ashley. One year ago Jerry completely surprised Ashley with the BIG question at this very giant Christmas tree. Of course we are here today because Ashley said YES! They are planning an October wedding downtown Toledo.
Some carousel ‘magic.’ Jerry + Ashley are such a fun couple and are up for ANYTHING!! I really wanted to ride the carousel too!
Jerry was serving overseas when they first “met.” He was a friend of a friend through Facebook and commented on one of Ashley’s photos. They started chatting online back and forth casually while he was still deployed. Eventually his tour was over and he came home. Jerry asked Ashley out on a date and the rest is history.
This was all Jerry’s idea…. Ashley said she thought she saw a sign that said, “No snow angels!” ha ha ha.
